- Wow.. so so beautifully put!! In sports, the mind plays an equal, or even more important role than physical abilities of the athlete.. it is so intriguing to find out what happens in an athlete's mind.. 😍😍
- Your mind and athleticism are two different things and can not be considered in the same sense. Athleticism is simply your bodies aesthetics pertaining to bone structure. Athleticism is not defined by muscular development either. A great athlete does not mean you are intelligent and a great athlete does not have to be 6’8”. A 4 foot person with better aesthetics than a 6 foot 8 person is a better athlete. Of course it helps to be 6 foot 8 in basketball but again the 6 foot 8 person is not necessarily the most athletic. Usaine bolt for instance, is not the greatest runner because he is the greatest athlete, he is the best runner because he is a great athlete with a long stride but not the greatest athlete. Michael Jordan is not the greatest athlete basketball has ever known, he is a great athlete at 6’6” with a great mind but not the greatest athlete in the nba.

Do not confuse your minds ability with athleticism and do not confuse your size or height with athleticism.

When considering what makes a great athlete physical aesthetics is the only thing to consider.

Anyone suggesting otherwise is taking the term athlete out of context. Even Webster’s dictionary most likely got it wrong.
