What would be the response? Uproar, protests, and riots calling for justice over the fact that it happened and knowingly kept hidden. This SHOULD be the response but it took forever to get there. Either it WAS or it WASN'T their fault and the GENUINE pursuit of an investigation is to resolve to actualities not manufactured realities. Manufactured realities and true justice are in no way friends and to keep that from people is a damnable insult. The true source of the problem being found will hopefully prevent any sort of severe consequence from being suffered. I have had a two fold hit from Covid- someone dying due to the virus because they happened to be a part of the vulnerable group and also someone dying from complications with the vaccine (with the vaccine being within a couple of days).
